Do You Really Need Driving Shoes for High Performance Driving?

In the past week, in two separate conversations, I’ve heard of driving incidents caused by shoes. Yup. One driver had new shoes and one got caught in the transition from one pedal to another at a critical time – and a tire wall ensued. Another suspects he may have gotten full brake and full throttle at the same time…. this was not good either.
