3/7/11 Monday Morning Blog
March 07, 2011 · No Comments
Congrats to Henry Gilbert and Shane Lewis in their maiden voyage for the 2011 season in the Rolex Grand Am race series! With a solid 10th position in class, Henry was very pleased with the showing…as any finish in a nearly 3 hour race is a good finish! After speaking with Henry this morning, I discovered that they had not fired the new motor, OR driven the car until the first practice session of the weekend. So, with no break-in period, or set up testing time, simply running the race successfully and without incident is a win!! Here is a picture of the SCDE, Riley/Chevrolet Daytona Prototype, carrying the HOD banner proudly!!
Good going guys!

many; many folks enter, stay, quit, and get addicted to involvement in
motorsports.

Geneva Goes On -Thunderhill with HOD
September 14, 2010 · 2 Comments
A few months ago we remodeled a bedroom in our home so that my 96 year old mother-in-law, Geneva, could stay with my wife, Meredith and I, for extended visits. She’s a wonderful lady and she spends most of her time reading and enjoying watching the Giants games. She putters in the little garden area we set up for her, and loves the cats we have who visit her regularly. She has never had a driver’s license, seems to have no interest in cars and does not seem the ... Read More >>
