High Performance Driving Experience at Blackhawk Farms Raceway

The first Great Lakes HOD event of the year...at a track that has never been on the HOD schedule...until NOW. We would like you to experience our newest addition to the prestigious HOD venues, Blackhawk Farms Raceway. We are partnering with Blackhawk Farms to bring you several Wednesday events this summer. We will provide the same top-notch coaching and services that you have come to expect from an HOD event.

Blackhawk Farms is a 1.95 mile, 7 turn private circuit racetrack located in South Beloit, Illinois on 216 acres. The track is on the border between Wisconsin and Illinois, within 90 miles of 2 major metropolitan areas; Chicago and Milwaukee and minutes from Interstate 90.

Blackhawk Farms is a spectator friendly racetrack with many amenities. With the construction of a new two-story pavilion including a stone fireplace and observation tower, along with track enhancements completed in 2012, this is a must-drive track.

Registration Fee of $240.00 includes:
• Coaching
• Classroom briefings
• Lunch
• Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced groups
• Nearly two full hours on-track

All you need is a car, a helmet, (Snell SA2005 spec or newer, no motorcycle helmets please - SA2010 helmets are available for rent at the track) and a need for speed!! Track attire includes long-sleeved shirt, long pants and close-toed shoes(no sandals).

• 7-9am check-in registration
• 7-8:50am tech inspection
• 8:40am drivers meeting
• 9:00am first group on-track
• 4:30pm checker flag - end of event

High Performance Professional Driving Schools

Hooked On Driving is a leading provider of performance driving programs, commonly known as an high performance driving experience (HPDE), or high performance driving school (HPDS). These programs are run on Track Days, at regional tracks such as Thunderhill Raceway, Laguna Seca, Reno-Fernley, Pocono, Autobahn Country club, and many others. See below for a complete list of Track day venues. We give drivers of high performance cars and sports cars the opportunity to drive their cars on a race track. During the first sessions a coach will ride in the passenger seat, and teach the driver high performance driving techniques. All new drivers need to participate is a helmet (available rentals), and an inspection to be sure their car is roadworthy. Beginners are given a thorough briefing and are introduced to their coach before they drive their car on the track. The initial "A Group" for beginning HPDE drivers, teaches smoothness, awareness, and driving a proper, safe and efficient line on track. A priority is also placed on learning basic car control skills such as late bssraking, proper shifting and understanding the concept of the apex of a turn. While A group has significant passing restrictions to maintain a conservative pace, the B - Intermediate, C - Advanced, and D - Race-prepped groups have progressively more flexible passing rules and advanced level coaching. There is NEVER any competition — wheel to wheel or timed laps — in our programs. Hooked on Driving HPDE Programs are safe experiences for all, an enjoyable time for every driver — and to assure that our drivers come away with much more confidence in handling their car in an emergency situation.
