High Performance Driving Experience at The Ridge Motorsports Park

Join the Hooked On Driving, PacNW team as we open the new race track near Shelton, Wa. The Ridge Motorsports Park. This will be a weekend of fun and adventure as we venture to this new racetrack. This registration is for Sunday only of the two day event at the Ridge.

Sunday is a fully coached High Performance Driver Education event in the standard HOD four run group format. The day will feature classroom learning for the Novice drivers and group leaders hosting download sessions for each of the run groups. The gates and checkin will open for drivers around 6:30am, followed by a drivers meeting at 8am with the first run group out on the track at 8:30am. We will run until around noon (don't miss the coaches demo session from 12:00 to 12:30pm) when we will serve a hot lunch. We start afternoon sessions at 1:30pm and run until about 5:00pm. Each run group will get about 100 minutes of track time over 4 sessions on Sunday. The registration limit is 25 drivers per run group for Sunday.

Since we are at the track Saturday too if you want to join us for the Saturday Night Paddock Party and BBQ after the ATP event is over you can purchase this below.

We have blocked 30 rooms for HOD. 15 at each of the motels listed below. Please make your reservations ASAP if you plan to stay away from the track. For those of you with Motorhomes etc dry camping is available at the track too.

High Performance Professional Driving Schools

Hooked On Driving is a leading provider of performance driving programs, commonly known as an high performance driving experience (HPDE), or high performance driving school (HPDS). These programs are run on Track Days, at regional tracks such as Thunderhill Raceway, Laguna Seca, Reno-Fernley, Pocono, Autobahn Country club, and many others. See below for a complete list of Track day venues. We give drivers of high performance cars and sports cars the opportunity to drive their cars on a race track. During the first sessions a coach will ride in the passenger seat, and teach the driver high performance driving techniques. All new drivers need to participate is a helmet (available rentals), and an inspection to be sure their car is roadworthy. Beginners are given a thorough briefing and are introduced to their coach before they drive their car on the track. The initial "A Group" for beginning HPDE drivers, teaches smoothness, awareness, and driving a proper, safe and efficient line on track. A priority is also placed on learning basic car control skills such as late bssraking, proper shifting and understanding the concept of the apex of a turn. While A group has significant passing restrictions to maintain a conservative pace, the B - Intermediate, C - Advanced, and D - Race-prepped groups have progressively more flexible passing rules and advanced level coaching. There is NEVER any competition — wheel to wheel or timed laps — in our programs. Hooked on Driving HPDE Programs are safe experiences for all, an enjoyable time for every driver — and to assure that our drivers come away with much more confidence in handling their car in an emergency situation.
